Opportunities in the Visual Arts Await
We provide opportunities for learners of all ages through visual arts education and career development programs.
Since 1977, Studio in a School (SIAS) has been committed to bringing professional artists into New York City classrooms to teach visual arts programs to over a million students.
This commitment has enabled us to develop a unique expertise in the field of arts education. We conduct research, share tested innovations and assessment methods, and provide curriculum and classroom program models to arts and educational communities.
Our Work
We are dedicated to improving opportunities through the visual arts. Our partnerships include early childhood programs, family engagement, and artist residencies. We also provide internship-based learning for teens and college students, as well as professional learning for educators.

Our Methods
Our unique expertise in arts education comes from a focus on drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and sculpting.
We work exclusively with the visual arts and hire only professional artists to mentor and teach the children and youth in our collaborative partnership-based programs. Whether they be early childhood or youth-development goals, our programs address the needs of the communities we serve.
